He was quick to respond to any emails that were sent and his knowledge and expertise in the construction industry were outstanding. We started working with Mark Fitzsimmons, Architect on a sizable addition and alteration plan for our home. We had an existing ranch plan with an attached garage and a rear den room that had no relationship with the other rooms in the house. His Firm was able to look at the existing plan and rearrange the rooms into a logical, functional and creative layout. The floor plan relocated the existing kitchen to align with the existing den and created a detached garage. The existing den became a new family room by removing the rear wall and adding a small rear room addition which made the family room living space larger. The new relationship of the two rooms was further reinforced visually by providing a 12' high tray ceiling that connected the front of the kitchen to the rear of the family room and making this space a very dynamic living space. The plan also connected the family room with the existing outdoor deck space and this provided a pleasant exterior transition entertainment space between the garage and rear yard. Mark was easy to work with, he listens; he solves problems and collaborates. My husband and I both work and Mark made his time flexible in meeting with us at night and on the weekends too. It has a been a great pleasure working with him and his office.

I have used Mark Fitzsimmons, Architect on a number of projects ranging from large to small. My greatest joy in having lived in Monmouth County since 1976, is my cadre of great support professionals, whether doctors, lawyers, plumbers or car mechanics. Mark is a leading member of my pantheon of support professionals. Always thorough, fast when fast is needed, innovative when innovative is needed, and deeply artistic and sensitive to design constraints. Mark has been providing me with architectural services since 1996 and just finished another quick job for me.

Mark did a beautiful design for a craftsman-style renovation to our plain-Jane colonial. We appreciated his attention to detail--it really made a difference and the project came out spectacularly well. Definitely worth the investment. Mark worked well with our contractor and was in general a pleasure to work with.
